Sandon - Solitary Islands Marine National Park

The Sandon is surrounded by National Parks. The Yuraygir National Park covers all land and the river and sea are parts of the Solitary Islands Marine Park. In many parts of the Sandon River Estuary fishing and oyster production are banned, but there is still plenty of places to cast a line.

  2. Oops ... I hang my head in shame. I thought I was medium au fait with NSW, but I have never heard of The Sandon.

  5. Did they deliberately plan the blue sign to match the water?
Regardless, it is a lovely shade.

  6. Love the sign and looks like a fabulous place to cast a line where you can.

  7. What a beautiful spot. It will be lake time here very soon. This makes me want to get to the water right now...and not the creek water that was flooding our lower yard this week. genie
