I like the comments on 'trusting' it won't fall into the river. In Australia a Trust is a non-paying State Government appointed position where a group of people are given the job to look after a community building or piece of land (usually a recreation facility). Normally they have to find the money for upkeep and improvements.
Now, that is interesting. Do they still have to pay land taxes, if it is mostly not on land?!
ReplyDeleteYes -maybe it is like a houseboat - no property tax.
ReplyDeleteWas there more to the sign after that TRUST? or should you trust it will be safe inside?
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering what the trust is all about. Are we to trust that there's a floor so we won;t fall through into the water? :))

ReplyDeleteThat's an interesting location.
ReplyDeleteI'm finding lots of community halls on my tour of the 100 towns but haven't found one like this.
ReplyDeleteA great location Mark ..... But I wouldn't want to turn the wrong way on leaving at night
ReplyDeleteVery unusual indeed. I wonder if the river was high when they built the hall, surely not?
ReplyDeleteIt would be fun to be in that building!
